4.25 stars!
oh this was so what I wasn’t expecting! what a pleasant surprise
It’s almost like the first book didn’t happen, as if a different person wrote this book!
I really hope the rest of the books are as good as this one

this was one good solid scene after another, whenever Anthony was with Kate it was a funny good time. I love hate to love stories and this one is such a good one
I did get some serious Duke of Midnight vibes but of course Duke of MIdnight is superior but still I felt similarities with the guy who refused to see whats in front of him even though he’s dying of want and love.

I loved their back and forth..the writing is so witty and a nice mix of plot and character driven..I found myself on the edge of my seat whenever they talked and insulted each other

Sarcasm doesn’t become you, Miss Sheffield.
Nothing becomes you, Lord Bridgerton.”

Anthony was just rigid, controlled and steadfast I loved watching him succumb to feelings he couldn’t control. He’s also a really smart guy and being in his head was fascinating

it was so FUN to watch his cravat get all fussed because of Kate omg

Anthony could actually feel the tips of his ears turning red with barely leashed rage. “You, madam, are a menace to society.”

Anthony made me swoon and get all hot and bothered..oh yea watching his journey was just they got closer and close..oh I shook with joy

Kate..I adored her so much
“And then there was Kate Sheffield. The bane of his existence. And the object of his desires. All at once.”

she was so bold, unique, complex and stubborn absolutely made for Anthony Bridgerton

and that whole scene about the of the more unique HR scene’s I’ve read I coudlnt’ stop laughing

we get to see how much of an awesome family the Bridgertons are ..I wish we got a bit more of Benedict since his book is next but we did get to see more of Colin and I liked him so much here. which is weird since I tried to read his book and wasn’t feeling him one bit.

oh they are all so much fun.

Neanderthal Seeks Human (Knitting in the City, #1) by Penny Reid

Neanderthal Seeks Human (Knitting in the City, #1)Neanderthal Seeks Human by Penny Reid
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

4 ” Janie and Quinn 4evah” stars

Penny Reid is the author I have always dreamed about.
the one that I know I would be if I ever became talented over night and wrote a novel.

but alas that will never happen so thank the book gods that I have her.
but for serious..she writes the books that imagine in my head I would write.
with quirky adorkable heriones and alpha males…ughghg shes my spirit animal and I love her

I know Im gushing but just listen shes my other half.
she knits (Just like me!)
she writes awesome..shes a nerd what more could I want from an author..
she also gave me Martin Sandeke…and now basically I owe her my arm.

but this book was adorable. Janie reminded me so much of myself that it freaked me out.
with her knowledge of trivial things (which is a bizare trait of mine..I always know weird things no one else does and I blather them out when im uncomfterable or bored because i hate social situations.)
im always labeling things and categorizing people/things just like Janie…but not in a judgmental way I promise…so, in short, reading this was surreal because it was me lol

Quinn was awesome but I did feel that he wasn’t as dimensional as Janie if that makes sense..he seems so monotone and stoic…i couldnt picture him right…

but the whole knitting group omg I WANT THAT
as soon as I read that i started searching for ones near me because I don’t know anyone else who knits besides me and their whole relationship made me long for one of my own..the whole concept is awesome and cute and so unlike anything else thats in other books out there.

Let me talk about Chicago for a second…(another weird affinity I have for this book)
I’ve always wanted to move there…seriously my friends always tease me about it cuz I talk about it so much so reading this book that was set there with a girl that was like my spirit animal….lets just say I was weird-ed out and excited.

I loved the epilogue in Quinn’s POv!!!! it really was able to show another side of him that isn’t clear in Janie’s POV and im exited to read the next one 1.5 all about them getting engaged and married

Thank you Penny Reid; soul sister

Chicago, knitting, books, love,
